1 + 1 = 1

This past week has not been fun. In addition to my visit to the doctor, I have been dealing with Spring sinus issues. After a weekend of rest, I am feeling better but still have a little cough. Friday, I felt lousy but was a trooper and went to work. My boyfriend called and wanted to take me to lunch. I don't think he was in a very good mood and needed me to cheer him up. I didn't want to go but once again was a trooper and agreed. Well, 1 bad mood + 1 not feeling good did not = 2 but rather 1 bad experience! After my saying something that he did not want to hear, he storms off in a rage after saying something rather ugly. What I said was not bad or mean -- it was just what I felt and he did not need to act like he did. In the past, I have been the stronger one in this relationship and would reach out to him to "make things all better" but not this time. The ball is in his court -- hope he doesn't make another foul!!!! Things are never boring in Betty Carole's World

The Human Body

The human body is an amazing thing. It is full of organs but yet there is enough space in there to add an organ if you need to. All the pieces work together like clock work. If one area is out of sync, the other areas step in to compensate. I went to the doctor today and found out that my body is compensating for a lack of a gallbladder. I became gallbladder-less in May 2010. Oh, it is so nice to not have to worry about eating the wrong thing and having a gallbladder attack. Those attacks are no fun at all! Well, now that I have no where to store bile, the bile has to go somewhere. It is now rising in my throat, like acid reflux, and causing me to have IBS. Neither one of these is fun AT ALL. He has prescribed some medicine to hopefully help and has scheduled a couple of medical tests to make sure nothing else is wrong.
